Windows 7 Fun
Hi
She's alive. All my computers have female names from the first days of
the Amiga and 'girlfriend' and this babe is back on track. Was a bit
touch and go there for a week but she is back under the deask and
mailing you right now.
Say what you like about Norton but they really do know how to help. I
simply gave the guy remote access and he again removed the old version
of Norton and installed the new. Like watching a wizard at play with
your computer. So Norton is now locked and loaded. Firefox is installed
and Thunderbird.... So what did I lose
I lost all my online games, but hey maybe time to move on. I have to
reinstall Photoshop, shouldn't be an issue. Thumbs may be a bigger
problem. I lost Windows Experience and Live Mail... no longer supported.
I also lost my camera, music and scanner which I hope I can just
reinstall. Shouldn't be an issue.
What I gained was a rejuvinated graphics card and Windows7 that actually
checks for updates.
I also gained a Windows10 paperweight sitting holding the door open at
the moment. Just have to find a home for it. For anyone that grows
attached to a computer you certainly miss them when they are not around.
This computer, although a Windows7 machine has been a good friend since
Feb 2011. I haven't enjoyed this last week or so. There was no way I was
going to be able to use that rubbish Win10 nonsense. It really isn't a
computer. You may as well just plug a phone into a monitor and attach a
keyboard.
Thats that then. Just need get some of my other things organised and I
can get back to playing Flight of the Amazon Queen.
I also have to customise Firefox ' AGAIN ', but hey small price to pay.
Onwards.
