Arnor C
Hi
I do love it when I can re-unite those this things that have become
separated. Imagine my joy tonight having had kicking around for such a
long time my large blue Arnor C Compiler , Linker and Editor manual
devoid of the disks that should be located in the plastic sleeve within.
Kinda sad when you read the opening page that tells you about how to
back up your disks and make start of the day disks. Worse, these are 3"
Amstrad disks so they were unlikely to be on 3.5 or 5.25" floppy.
So whilst rummaging through some old disks tonight imagine my delight
when I came across some unmarked 3" disks that I must have overlooked a
100 times. And there inside was the actual official blue and white
labelled ' The Arnor C Programming Language ' for the Amstrad PCW
8256/8512 and CPC 6128. Plus Arnor C Start Up Disk APED Editor, CP/M
Plus - Compile Disk, Libraries, Header Files, AC-Com and RUNC.com.
Seriously excited. Late now but I will be copying the disks tomorrow for
safe keeping and then return to the folder.
' The Arnor C compiler is a full implementation of the C standard as
defined by Kernighan and Ritchie in the book " The C programming language "
.... all written in Z80 machine code. And the manual is written in
Protext. 1987. Arnor Ltd. 118 Whitehorse Road, Croydon.
What a wonderful piece of history reunited.
I can go to bed now. Ar hum.
