ScuzzBlog: Diaries December 2019

Entry 31st December 2019: Post 01: Future Projects.

Future Projects.

Today I tripped across a box that I had set aside for future projects,
I smiled inside at the time it has taken me to get to this box.
Basically cus each day I just fill the spaces with what ever comes
to mind. So what's in the box ? Just a jumble of various unrelated items..

TVPaint.. This is actually about a graphics card. I have a PiccoloSD64
that I have never installed in an Amiga. The software needs a CyberGFX
ZorroII card and this means using one of my Amiga 4000s. This year
I will attempt this installation. A little promise I make.

I could use the Cybervision or the PicassoIV, but I'll stay true to
myself and use the Piccolo.

Next up Siren Software... This I have done this year. Back in 1995
I failed to install a 3.5" IDE drive inside an Amiga 1200. This
is the software that came with the drive. But I failed. Anyhoo
been a year now but I finally sorted that pesky maxtransfer
issue and got a 3.5" drive working inside the A1200.

Moving on to the SPIRIT board that was gifted me so many years ago.
It sits in its box unloved. Such a waste. I must this next year
get the card fitted and running.

Amiga 1000 time and a desire to have all the bits and pieces that
would have adorned the Amiga 1000 at launch on a bench and maybe
re-enact the Andy Warhol paint session with Debbie Harry. Atomic.

The Journey to Middle Earth is a touch obscure as it relates to
The Games Workshop. I search in vain to find a couple of boxed
games that I played in 1980 at John Madin Design Group in Brum.
If only they would surface... I keep searching to find my own
Middle Earth. What I would give to be able to walk into a
Games Workshop... By the way 'not' computer games.

Powerplay is a little more straightforward. I have all the disks
in the set. Sadly the previous owner used five of the disks for
Final Copy... ar hum. Never mind. So I search for the missing
disks. It is what I do.

In 1995 I was at Silica in Southampton and was unable to get any
help from any of the assistants in the store. Eventually I found
all the shop guys huddled around an Amiga 1200 playing Pinball
Mania... I believe. Could have been one of the other titles. This
software has lost its box. Needs to be reunited. Simple task.

Next up its the dongle for RoboCop. With AutoCAD drawing software
I am kinda use to dongles. Never had one come with a game. So the
challenge is to find the box and put the disks back with the manual
and dongle and do a feature. Again another easy challenge.

Finally in the box is the magical Disk Expander software. A little
unnecessary now, but still fun trying to get it working.

Maybe I will get round to these challenges. Who knows. I had planned
on finally putting this box to bed over a year or two ago. Maybe even
longer. It's like that here. Just never enough hours in the day.

Future Projects.
