Words or not words that annoy me
Patrick
I have sat through the Congressional committee hearings, if that's what
they are called, and you can sense moments when something is said that
is of significant consequence. With James Comey I think it is when he
dropped into the discussion that he had leaked his memo to the press.
Reminded me a bit of Robert Redford in Three Days of the Condor when at
the end he tells the agent that he has disclosed his secrets to the
press... but wouldn't say who. And with US attorney general Jeff
Sessions it is when he refuses to disclose what he said the President as
this would break an accepted protocol. He did though go on to say why he
recommended sacking Comey.. but then that sounds a lot of politics to me
as the guy appears to be a supporter of the President.
I'm just waiting for that 'glove' moment when someone makes a mistake or
Trump gets cross examined by ' Tom Cruise ' [ A Few Good Men ] and gets
Trump to say those immortal lines .. ' You can't handle the truth '. I
love American politics.
I do hope Trump continues on. He is the best entertainment we have had
in a long time. Unlike Mrs May who is so like John Major when he was
portrayed as a grey prime minister by the cast of Spitting Image puppets
over here in 1992. In those days we had a gang of 10 if I recall holding
the government to ransom over... guess what, Europe. Interest rates
rocketed above 15% in a single afternoon whilst our chancellor drank
champaign and sang in the bath, and then we pulled out of the monetary
union of Europe. Its like I'm living in a never ending circle of events
and nobody but nobody learns a lesson. Groundhog Day over and over.
I wouldn't really know how to Tweet but I understand the president has a
habit of sending out messages when nobody is watching him. So funny. I
assume that is what you were referring to.
