While I'm on
Hi
Scrub that.. should read ' What am I on ? ' 2.15 am here and still
plugging away at the retro. Anyway my little adventure to find my Kuma
disks has unearthed a few fantastic C64 treasures.
Supersoft's Programmer's Tool Box including the thick manual Better
Working from Spinnaker and 5.25" disk
I love the first line in the book ... If you don't have a Commodore 64
computer, buy one immediately. Then put your Power 64 disk into it and
engage POWER 64 by loading and running it. We will get to MOREPOWER in
Appendix "A" .. Can't wait.
These book like software cases are quite wonderful. You open the large
plastic case and get the manual and disks or cassettes or both.
Next up its The Complete Machine Code Tutor by New Generation Software.
Two cassettes this time and a thinner manual. Strange though cus the
outer case is much bigger. The guide takes you 27 lessons and boasts
that it will confidently teach the user how to program complex machine
code programs for the CBM64.
And finally the biggest thickest volume in a plastic sleeved book style
case.. Dr Watson 64 Assembly Language Course by Derek Bush and Peter
Holmes. The big red manual is very thorough.....

... and that's why we need assembly language
LDXIM 1 Load X register with a '1'....... you get the idea.
I'm in machine code heaven. As you were.
