Archemedes - Post 2

Hi

I have this Archimedes 310 plus an Acorn 3000 which I needed
to check out. Unlike the other machines they use a 9 pin female
D if that is the right terminology and the PC machines have a
different socket and my Amigas have male connections for the
multiscans. So I hopped onto Ebay and bought a 9 pin male to
male D connector and it just arrived. I plugged in the 3000
first and that is working a treat, no problems. Next though
the Archimedes is totally defunct, dead, pushing up the daisies.
Never mind. I guessed as much as the unit fan was missing.

I now have to remove the battery from the 3000 and hope it hasn’t
damaged the insides too much. Such a pain these old batteries.
