Problems for Amstrads CP/M
OK a little late but my copy of Popular Computing Weekly 15-21 November
1984 has only just arrived. You may recall that I had been talking about
the new DD1 drives and the fact that with the CP/M disk loaded into the
drive there would only be around 39.5K free to run programs that need on
average around 50K.
Here is what Roland Perry, Amsoft's technical manager, and also author
of RPED, said...
' The most important aspect of the disc drive is as an extension to the
micro - the CP/M is a bonus. '
Well there you go then problem solved. He goes on but I'm sure that is
about as relevant today as Micro Pen and Micro Script.
The full page colour advert for Alice in Videoland for the C64 was so
tempting I went onto Ebay and bought a copy.
In the news, SIEL the Italian music keyboard manufacturer has produced a
professional quality music keyboard add on for the Commodore 64....... I
have a full size keyboard the size of a small piano keyboard sitting in
here behind me.

The good news was that TLL Tornado Low Level was now being made
available for the C64. About time as I must have worn my Speccy version
completely out. Amazing game that.
