What is truly amazing

Hi Paul

Dunno whether you keep a log of your Raspberry Pi activities. Sounds
fascinating. I have been tempted but in truth I'm not sure what
direction I would go in if I had one. I guess I have enough to do
already. Its why I never bothered with Linux.. it really would be all I
did. The Pi is a bit of an adventure so reading up on what goes on is
always interesting, though I am not up with the kit. Ever changing by
the look of it.

Always a joy to read your posts as I can actually imagine exactly what
you were doing when you refer to the older machines. For me I've been
sitting today at two C64s mucking around with Mini Office and Spiderman.
I have the Checkmate running and playing DragonTiles... man is that
addictive. I have the Amstrad 1512 up and trying to get my head round
how BASIC is structured on that machine. The interface is a lot like the
Falcon and to be honest I hate both. Finally been playing on the
Spectrum+3 just to keep the disc drive oiled and working.... I have the
CPC464 running upstairs as I found a boxed 3" disc version of Batman.
Runs on the 464 but not the 6128 for some reason.... To top it off I
have the Amiga 1000 running and the 3.1ROM A500 with A590 sidecar. Its
retro heaven most days for me so I wouldn't thank you for configuring a
modern server. Sounds way too challenging for my liking.

You need to get out in the boat before the weather breaks. What do I
know. I did own a Mirror Dinghy by the way ... Sadly it never made its
way back to the water at Mudeford. Sold the sheets and trailer. Better
not tell you what I did with the boat. Wasn't a pretty end.

So what am I doing that keeps me away from a Pi. Well, I am scanning in
the covers of all my C64 games and software cases for a full catalogue
of what I have on the website. Keeping me busy. I'm up to letter 'G'
