Bit of a dust up
Hi
Been struggling with the A2000 with the GVP A2000-030 Rev 4 so I decided
to open her up and strip back and give her a good going over... Whoo er
!! Anyway, I removed the BridgeBoard and probably wont put that back in.
I then removed the GVP and disconnected the LED connector and ribbon.
Hadn't taken out the card properly before so was able to take some nice
pictures. More on that later. I then set too cleaning the very dirty and
dusty motherboard.
Its quite therapeutic sitting there with a clicking couple of floppy
drives from another Amiga cleaning every last nook and cranny of a 2000
motherboard with cotton buds. I got through a whole tub of buds but it
was worth it just to see the gleaming green and gold of the motherboard.
Looks fine. Just waiting for the camera to recharge so I can finish off
with some more pictures before closing up and seeing if she is fine.
On that pictures thang. I have been taking a lot of photographs over the
last few months and have composed probably one of the longest ever blogs
featuring all that I have been doing. Trouble is I never quite get to
the end of it all because something else pops into the frame. I am just
about at the end of my scanning of the cassette covers for the C64 bit
still have to do the larger cassette boxes and the unboxed. I'm not in
any rush but the way things are going it will be a good month or so
before I'm ready to update the website.
Seriously, who cares.

entry with pic of the A2000-030. I thought Dave had chopped the corner
off the card but noticed the corner was off in the picture from the Big
Book. Also the German version of the Big Book doesn't have this revision
of the card .. well I think it was the German version. Seems they made
a lot of versions of this card.
