Kitchen Corner
OK So the battery arrived. Simple wire and connector to the BBC Master
keyboard. I unscrewed and removed the pack of old batteries in their
special holder. The middle one was all 'furry' though they don't sit on
the motherboard. I connected the new battery kit and stuck it down.
Fired up and then had to reset the system and put in a few basic
configuration entries. The machine then was again reset and like magic
it worked. I am now fully functional with the BBC Master Series computer.
What is better is that I was able to format a disk properly on the
machine and then fire up the BBC Model B to see if that external drive
works.. and it did. So I have the Master and B working with drives so I
can swap between both.
Job done. What's next ?
