Movies on Vinyl
Hi Paul
The reoccurring theme in all these retro articles is the need to keep
the equipment active. I find all the kit that I use on a regular basis
rarely falls over and yet place anything in store for five to six years
and the items start to degrade badly. Batteries, belts, capacitors and
working mechanisms that just lock up. I am sure that he has clocked that
and will endeavour to use the item on a regular basis to keep things
active. It is going to be an ever increasing problem with these items to
keep them working. Good thing is guys like this take the trouble to make
these very informative videos and so record them for history sake. I
become ever more amazed at the extent technology has become redundant
and abandoned and thankfully there are those willing to keep them alive
and more importantly record them.
I was actually looking at the video for the SONY monitor cus although he
says they are cheap, they really are not. That's a good all round tool
for many things and being square [ cube ] and strong lets you store and
move it around easy. Could really do with one.
