Win 7 Collapse
Hi
I have some quite dreadful news. Nothing to do with my personal health
or any of my beloved computers but involves two things.... First the
complete and utter failure of my Windows7 machine. And I mean ' complete
'. It is no more. Second the dreadful decision to buy a Windows10
machine. I have been struggling with this glorified bloody telephone all
afternoon and have only just been able to install Firefox and
Thunderbird and disable as much of the other crap as possible. I have
never been confronted so many times with stupid moronic questions about
... er well nothing. The worst is the email address I gave to verify the
OS has not recieved the email from Microshite and no matter how many
times I click resend it never arrives.
Computing use to be so much simpler. WHAT THE F*CK IS AN APP for
goodnesssake. I don't have nor ever use a mobile phone app. I have never
used an App in my life. Now they just have made the phone into an OS...
or so it seems.
I have enough crappy experiences here to last a lifetime.
I have an XP machine under the desk doing all the grunt work so I can
find stuff and get downloads and try to clear out all the crap off this
machine. I have this bloody woman I guess that wants to talk all the
soddin time. GO AWAY. Listen darlin I don't have speakers, sound,
headphones, camera. And if I want something I'll Google cus they know
what I need... not bloody Microshite.
You have to fend through endless icons to find file names. Things like
basic searches, my computer are subject to searches on the internet to
find out how to get back onto the desktop. Then there Bing Bong GONE...
and some other feature that simply refused to accept I wanted to use
Firefox. BING BUGGA OFF !!!
And even though I refused to accept the Express Install of the OS that
enables all the snoop stuff that MS want to use for advertising and
bullsh** and even though I unclicked SKYPE which I assume is a camera...
I HAVE got an email confirming that I have subscribed and welcome to
SKYPE. You get bloody popups all the time from some file managing cloud
crap sponsered by Microshite. And then there is DELL and their barmy
army. Its unbelievable just how everything is being checked and double
checked and always I get this bloody popup saying I need to configure my
other devices.... WHAT DEVICES. What the hell is a hotspot.... for my
devices.
Then I get a pop up about bloody Blue bloody Tooth... Sorry to get
annoyed but I just didn't want to do this but I had no choice. I live
in a remote location and I have to order almost everything to get
delivered. I do not have a car or mobile phone. So when your computer
goes pop and you have no internet access... How do you confirm an email.
I told the nice lady from India ( I assume ) no offence, when ordering
the DeLL I was without internet and she still asked me to confirm the
email. As did MS.... So to use a Microshite machine you better have
another machine on call to check mails. Amazing that I can ' BUY ' an
email provider... OUT-of-LOOK. Whatever
Funny that the person I tried to organise this machine from at DeLL
didn't know what DVi was. She had no idea if the NVidia card had DVi ...
the reference for the card was not even a NVIdia card. She said it was a
typo, sorry. The guy that delivered the machine had his thumb pressed in
through the cardboard box and dropped the thing on the floor... ' Sign
here '...... So professional.
Anyway... I have to try and get this Windows7 machine mended. I can't
live like this. Its like I'm in a nightmare.
Hope you get this message. There is no guarantee sadly. I'm down a very
dark hole here. Go back now... Go back.
I have a feeling that Windows7 is probably the cut off date for the last
simple file managed OS before the storm that is social media style
mobile phone big icon entertainment browsing interfaces.... primarily to
use us as fodder to access advertising markets. World gone bonkers.
