Popular Computing Weekly
Silly me. I had to win the auction for a copy of Popular Computing cus I
read the headline on the cover and I need the full magazine to see what
is discussed inside. The scoop was that after installing CP/M on the
Amstrad DD1 drive there would only be left 39.5K of memory. And here is
the shocking truth [ stand by your beds ] ... most CP/M based programs
need over 40K to work. Seriously. Can you believe that. What were they
thinking back in November 1984.
Anyway I am about to find out and I'll let you all know the truth. I am
shocked. I have no idea how I have been successfully running progs on
the DD1.
By the way I am still trying to find a 5.25"DOS disk for the Atari 1050
so I can use it. I ain't paying £20 for one though.
