I have done something very bad
Hi Jaeson
I have three A600s with the same dreadful failed hard drive noise. All
the 2.5" drives are falling over, as are the 3.5". I have one 600 that I
boot, then soft boot, and then soft boot again and it starts. I cannot
use the first 5mb of the drive and have to leave it empty. Now its
developed another checksum error. I dread the little boxes appearing on
the screen. The tower takes two boots to get the hard drive working and
the 500 with Viper crawls into action. I know that I will either have to
give up or give in. Today I gave in. It didn't make me feel too good,
but given that I am looking forward to having the massive capacity on
the drive its going to be wonderful.
The reason I did it was that it comes with 2.1 installed. I couldn't
find the 2.1 install, and yet this afternoon having dredged through my
CDs I actually found a copy. I have made so many copies and shall not
lose that again.
