Parnet issues
Paul
I actually have a serial network system cables and connectors called The
Computer Interconnection System for the Commodore Amiga called... Wait
for it.... ' Aminet '. Consists of two plastic bag packs of serial
interfaces and an incredibly long very thin wire which connects between
the two. I was gifted this a few years back and its still kinda sealed
in the plastic, albeit I did open the one to read the card. Evidently
you can have up to 200 machines on the network. Sounds like Aminet.
Anyway, may give it a go.
I have samba set up on my 1200 and took me an age to write all the stuff
to make it work. Works great on that machine connected to PCs around the
house. Just don't fancy trying to get it working on the 2000. This
Aminet might work.
I like the idea of the dustblower, could do with one of those.
Don't want any more slugs though. They can smell water. I'm convinced.
My overflow pipe from the toilet has snapped off so it flush with the
wall at first floor. Anyway a slug climbed the wall and got in the
cistern through the overflow. They really are horrible. There are no
street lights here and each Sunday I have to put the rubbish out. And as
I walk up the drive I am like crunching slugs and snails all the way.
Horrible in truth. Come morning they are gone as the hedgehog makes
short work of them, that and the owls and maybe bats. I get everything
out here...noisy buggers.
