Living in a box
Hi
So funny.. Don't you just love the Amiga. This drive was dead in the
water and had crippled the machine. I just left it running for 30
minutes and it suddenly sprang back into life. I simply checked the
drive and then formatted the drive . I have now installed 2.1 on the
drive and booted straight in. The drive reminds me of the old Star Trek
shuttle crafts.
When you boot the 590 you get all these wonderful electronic burblings
and beeps. The drive light stays on for around two to three seconds goes
off and you wait around another five seconds and then the magical
noises begin and the drive feeds the Amiga..
1501360 graphics memory and 1895176 other memory. System is 12% full
with 18mb free. 2463 in use. Kickstart version 37.175 and Workbench
38.36 1985-1991.
Permission to come aboard captain... Fascinating.
Never a dull day and now I have yet another two drives that I will try
and check on a regular basis just to make sure they are still with us.
The Amiga never dies... amazing.
On that old shuttle craft thang I am reminded of the amazing 3D
