Entry 10th August 2018: Post 01: Amiga 1200 - Back in the T A N K

Amiga 1200 - Back in the T A N K - Part VI

I had a few problems with TANK hanging whilst undertaking certain
functions and decided to swap out the RAM card. Before I did I
thought I would take a look around the motherboard to see if there
were any problems with circuits, chips and or capacitors. I only
carried out a visual inspection. Whilst I did this I swapped out
the ROM chips for good measure.

Amiga 1200 - T A N K - Pt VI

Swapped out the ROM chips.

Improved the insulation to
the card shielding.

Improved insulation to hard drive.

Suspect card to be removed.

Chips with everything back in the box.

Replaced card with a Magnum.

That finger slot is so useful.

Label updated.

SysInfo showing the 8MB RAM.

All those wonderful drives.

And she is working fine.

I have other options for cards.

I could pull a card from another 1200.

For now these go back into store.

Good news is that TANK was on the bench
most of the rest of the day and working
just fine. So fingers crossed.
