Entry 12th December 2018: Post 01: Commodore MPS 801 - Just a printer

Commodore MPS 801 - Just a printer

Spent the day on the C64 and swapping out chips having dug out a
couple of other machines. So today is just a filler with some
quick items to show.

The first isn't that significant, it is only a printer. The unit
was not even made by Commodore. Instead it is the product of a
company called Seikosha in Japan a subsidiary of Seiko. I do have
a Seikosha .. the GP 500 VC.

Seiko was originally founded in 1881 under the name of K Hattori.
Seikosha was the name given in 1892... it means 'House of Exquisite
Workmanship '. They made clocks. Seiko means ' Exquisite ' or
success.

There, wasn't that interesting... unlike the printer which is after
all, just a printer. It was made in 1984 and uses the 'unihammer
system'...... Checks through notes... Nope, nothing else interesting.

Here are the pictures.... Hang on... It uses fan fold paper. Cool.
