The second of the cards is an I/O Extender by Great Valley Products or simply GVP. This is a Zorro II card that gives the Amiga two additional serial ports (D89) at up to 614400 baud. One further parallel port (DB23). A midi port option ( not included on this revision card ) and one expansion port. The J4 ROM socket was also not included on this revision of card. Evidently you can still get the midi interface to work if a 10 pin header is added where shown. Interestingly the parallel port can be set to Amiga or IBM type. Unfortunately the card is not compatible with Parnet. Given the software on the A2000 I am sure that this computer was being used as a PC Emulator for the most part. Why ? I have no idea.
