It's what I do ... checking my computers that is. The blog is just
a diary of my daily fun and games with all the computers. Sometimes
I get to relax and play, but for much of the time I'm testing,
cleaning, recording and sometimes even repairing. Time was that all
I did was collect. For now though I limit acquisitions as I just
do not have the space.
So today I pulled down onto the bench an Amiga 4000d 030 and an 040.
The first which I feature here was gifted to me from a real Amigan
giant. His activity on the groups and in the general world of the
Amiga was legendary. I was most fortunate to befriend Colin and
as reward he gave me his full collection.
And so I take extra special care of his kit and this is one from
his collection. The machine has the graphics card that I fitted
but otherwise it is all as gifted to me by Colin. So I take a
quick peek at the hard drive. All Colin's machines are set up
very odd with the screen resolution and overscan. I have been
tempted to change it but I choose not to, so leaving the computer
as it was given to me.
The computer has the base 030 processor which is more than adequate
for an Amiga. A wonderful bit of kit and always fires up without
any issue. I endeavour to check the computer as often as I can.
