The Acid Test - Part 5

On the Plus side that is six down and not very many to go. I do not
own that many Amiga Plus models so checking them over shouldn't be
too hard a struggle.

Took me three days.. just don't know where the time went.

COMPUTER No. 7

I sense luck has just run out with this one

Generally manky inside and unloved

Interesting switch to the RAM board

An old barrel tells me what I have uncovered

Sadly a very dead Amiga 500Plus. I have to say
I thought I had removed the old battery

Wouldn't have helped. This came to me as a
broken machine and a hopeless case. So sad

The damage had already been done sadly
I guess I should remove the battery

Don't attempt this yourself but I just
very gently rock back and forth till the
metal legs just snap off. You have to be
very careful of not allowing the metal to
scratch the motherboard.

Nearly there

She's gone

One more for the battery graveyard

Lost all its potent 'goo' long before
the computer arrived here. Just a dry
barrel now. These things are killers

Disgusting

The damage had spread everywhere

Look at the spotting all around Gary

So destructive

Eats away at everything

Hope you don't have a weak stomach

Time to close this down

Interesting little card. Looks fine now

RM550C-F

Battery came away without issue

The ACID test. Power and floppy light
stuck on all the time. Busted

I think you can see why

Needs a new motherboard... Which is what
the sticky label says
