C64 GS

The Commodore 64 Games System or just C64GS is the cartridge based
games console released by Commodore in 1990. Which is basically a
C64 but without the keyboard.

I have a feeling this is the first time I have used this console and
was pleasantly surprised to find it working perfectly. Can't say I
am warmed to this beast given that I just cannot see the point when
you can have a Commodore 64 and do the same thing.

I have two of these and one is boxed. I would get the other down but
there are a stack of PS2 games boxes stored above it.

Commodore C64GS the full package contents

The joystick and cartridge are included

Not a particularly exciting cartridge

And a pretty bland looking bit of kit

The boot up screen on the big Toshiba

And state of the art gaming... or not.

My other C64GS boxed.. lost in a sea of boxes

The C64GS Manual

The C64GS Manual

There were two games manuals with this machine
and one referred to being also the C64C

And inside was this leaflet

The content is warning users about the
danger of removing cartridges

In simple terms don't remove with the
computer power switched on
