ScuzzBlog: Diaries April 2025
Entry 03rd April 2025: Post 1: Amiga 1200 - My workbench disk box.
Amiga 1200 - My workbench disk box.
I felt a little guilty yesterday over not spending more time with
the Atari Falcon so I pulled the computer again from the shelf
and familiarised myself with the file structure.
I generally have my disk box shelves set up with four large disk
boxes sitting in pairs with mini library boxes holding ten disks
per box pushed in between the large disk boxes. Sitting on top
of the disk boxes I generally have Amiga 1200s under dust-cover.
In this instance the Atari Falcon sits on the boxes.
I have around 13500 disks mostly originals and they are all sat
vertical in disk boxes and for the best part in plastic sleeves.
The disk boxes are numbered and some I know off-by-heart what is
contained within. My most cherished disk box is my original box
for my first A1200. The box sat next to me for many years and
was home to all my most valued disks. Whilst a number of the
disks have rotated out over the years the core set of disks for
most important applications have remained in the box.
Here are some images of the more popular of the software. Thought
I would take a few pics before the box was lost under the Falcon.
