RiscStation - Cost you an ARM and a leg.
That time of the year again when I go round and check if the old
beasts have survived the winter. Today it was the turn of the
RiscStation, which Google AI seems to think is rare. I guess that
given it is an ARM based machine built to run RISC OS and so has
onboard an ARM processor I guess may make it rare. I have no idea.
I am always pleased when she fires up, albeit for a short while.
What Google AI said about the rarity of the RiscStation computer.
RiscStation Ltd is considered a highly rare and niche manufacturer
in the context of retrocomputing, specifically within the Acorn/RISC
OS ecosystem.
Spec:
RISC OS4.03 RISCStation 16MB ARM 7500FE Processor. Simtec IDEFS.
CIRRUS LOGIC CL-PS7500FE56QC-C ARM and made in TAIWAN.
Anyhoo: The big news is that I got my mage to level 90 in Warcraft.
Now that is far more impressive... trust me.
