Diskbox Update

Discovered whilst playing ChaseHQ yesterday that the A500 I'm using has
an issue with the North/East direction on the controller. Problem with
the machine. I shall swap out the chips later but for now ' we press on
'. So I un-boxed one of my classic A500s with the seal still intact and
fired up. All appeared to be working fine until I decided to reboot and
the control left and right Amiga wasn't working. Annoying as the machine
has the 590 and I don't want to keep switching on and off all the time.
Anyway I tried the buttons a few times and then like magic she rebooted.
I played around with the buttons and found it was the control button. If
I press on the left most edge it works every time. Problem solved.
I actually hooked up another 500 and got a yellow screen . I opened the
trapdoor and discovered a 501 expansion box with the metal casing and
feared battery damage. [ scuzz had been here before ] The battery was
removed. The computer worked fine with the expansion out but turned out
to be a 1.2 unit so didn't use it.
Whilst un-boxing I catalogued the disks inside plus the boxes on top.
Eventually got back to the table but got distracted yet again by
Speedball and Deluxe Galaga. [ as ever ]
I have actually got use to the 1.3 so much now and have no problems
using SID by Timm Martin to do all my disk checking. Slowly using up my
20MB of disk space.
I hit 8000 today in terms of disk numbers and for anyone interested here
is the section where reached the 8000 mark. The table is still full so
loads more yet to do in this section then I move onto games proper and
my disk drawers.
