DPaintIV - Copy and Protect + NoiseTracker.
Strange question on a well known forum asking if there was a way
to remove the software ownership screen. Whether he just wanted
to avoid others clocking his serial number and name, or if he
just didn't have a valid copy, dunno. Either way it happens to
be the minimum EA added to the software to protect against the
illegal copying. The first thing you are asked to do when first
using DPaint is to copy the disks and put your originals away.
Interestingly there are basically two versions of DPaint IV. The
first is the one released on 27th September 1991 and the second
released with the AGA machines called DPaint IV AGA. This came
with boxed sets of Desktop Dynamite and the Amiga 1200.
Amiga Format carried a very good review of the software in their
September 1991 edition and I provide copies of that review plus
the cover disk. CU did the same and then also provided a guide.
Included with the cover disk is also a section on NoiseTracker
and I have also provided the brief guide from the magazine.
Anyhoo I'm rather proud of my registration details for DPaint.
I never actually purchased a stand-alone version of DPaint AGA
as it always came with boxed Amigas. One of those pieces of
software that I couldn't live without.
