The detailed information about the use of the software tended to be incorporated into the sleeve cover. The idea was used by the Amiga, C64, C128 and even Windows used the format. I have never been a fan as they are seriously difficult to store. They do not fit in shelves and tend to lay flat with the risk of being damaged. Fortunately with the need for much larger manuals and technical details and disks the format all but dried up. Enter the big box software
