Entry 19th February 2026: Post 1: Amiga 500 - Machine No 33 And we are back.
Amiga 500 - Machine No 33 And we are back.
Soon as the rain stopped last night I was back to the Workshop and
setting up Amiga 500 No 33. I still have to move two stacks of mags
that have been accumulating over the last few months, but that will
wait till tomorrow. For now I can joy in the sight of another Amiga
back in service.
I dragged down my Baybench set of home made disks that I made and
they booted in no problem. In truth the machine ran like a dream.
There wasn't even the slightest problem and I left her running late
into the night.
Anyhoo.. as I am taken to say. I'm a happy bunny. Always nice to
fill any vacant space I have with an active Amiga. Always a joy.
I went straight onto the Bay last night and got an A500 game plus
a test disk just to check over the hardware. I also sorted out a
disk cleaning kit I had at the back of a drawer. I shall move that
stack of mags and put the disks boxes that were there back. I guess
then I may just create a fresh set of homemade Workbench disks.
I tracked down the Amiga Computing that I was using in the day and
I have scanned that for tomorrow. For now though we are back in
business and I will wait for my game to arrive.
Happy days.
PS The screen isn't actually bright turquoise it's just how the
camera reacts in portrait mode with a tungsten light overhead.
Sorry about that. I was too lazy to drag out my white light. I
set to portrait to avoid the scan lines on the monitor which does
blur some sections of the screen at times. Going now.

Not exactly gamepad quality, but the gamepad
is on my A600 at the moment.
