Amiga 500 - Machine No 33 And we are on the bench with the Samsung. My Test Kit disk arrived and I decided to move operations to the bench so I could better take pics without the glare from the window. First up I had to reattach a stand to my Samsung monitor that is without the SCART EXT connector and then swap that monitor for the Samsung with the SCART EXT connector. The one with the SCART sits serving a cluster of PCs. Fortunately the replacement has DVi and PC connectivity so it'll do in that location. I remove the base support cus its easier to store. I have several Samsung monitors with the SCART on the rear. I would use them all the time but I am not a great fan of the picture quality. So I fired up the A500 and the Samsung sprang into life. I then stuck in the disk and checked first for RAM. I hadn't realised how long this was going to take. It is still checking now so I gave up and will start again tomorrow. Just that I have a scheduled Warcraft session and not knowing how much more time its going to take to do the RAM test makes things a bit tricky. Anyhoo watch this space as I return back tomorrow to hopefully show all the results for the Amiga 500 machine number 33. If all else fails I will call in International Rescue. 5 4 3 2 1..!
