ALIAS - Sydney Bristow a better raider.
I rated Jennifer Garner as a better Lara Croft than Miss Vikander.
In the early 2000s I did enjoy my nightly episode of ALIAS. So
much so that I purchased the box sets. I never got round to getting
Series 5 cus it wasn't released at the time of my watching the
series. Not only was Sydney Bristow a double agent working for
the CIA but she also was trying to uncover Rambaldi artefacts
which were supposed to have magical and mystical powers that could
be used for evil intent.
Anyhoo.. this holiday I treated myself to box set number 5 which
unfortunately is shrink wrapped new and so I can't open it. Kinda
a rule here, but hey I've seen the series and I guess they are on
YouTube.
I did enjoy the ALIAS game in 2004 on the XBOX. It was entertaining
and quite a brain teaser. I must have the guide somewhere.
During that period I did play quite a few games on the XBOX. The
last I recall was the Max Payne series. The story in that game
was quite brilliant. Sadly ruined by the movie, but hey. Whilst I
was in PS3 mode I also took the opportunity this holiday to fill
some of the holes in the collection with Max Payne 3, Mass Effect 3,
Lightning Returns and the very wonderful Hitman Absolution. I am
still hooked on Hitman. My disc bombed out so I had to get another
which sadly was shrink wrapped new. So not breaking my rules I
finished up buying a third... don't ask. I also purchased Star Trek
the game for the PS3 but haven't tried it yet.
In playing a hitman or undercover killer I took the plunge and got
a few DVDs that I had overlooked. These were in the same theme
with John Wick, Jason Bourne and Jack Reacher. I have to say I
found John Wick to be wooden choreographed bullet ballet, Jason
Bourne was dull and ruined further by Alicia Vikander. I found
Tom Cruise to be the most entertaining so I have purchased the
next in that series. Modern films have very little screen play
and way too many car chases and fight scenes.
Talking of failed films, I guess Jennifer Garner in Elektra and
Daredevil have to be two of the worst I have in the collection.
I do have a shelf full of Elektra comic books and sadly Jennifer
just doesn't cut it. Saying that she would have been a way better
Lara Croft than the very dreadful Miss Vikander.
There you have it... my games and film entertainment this last
month. Never a dull moment.
