Entry 10th January 2019: Post 01: OpalVision 24-Bit graphics and video system.

OpalVision 24-Bit graphics and video system.

A 24-Bit frame buffer and display device with 16.8 million colors
available to each and every pixel.

The OpalVision 24-Bit graphics and video system links the ultimate
painting software with cutting-edge , high quality hardware. Its
expandable, modular design lets you select only the features you
need while providing expandability so you can add additional
capabilities as you require them. The OpalVision system is an
excellent video processing and manipulation tool but unlike other
systems, it integrates extremely well into the Amiga environment
and functions superlatively for applications like desktop publishing,
ray-tracing, image processing, multimedia and entertainment.

Nope, didn't get any of that. All I read was ' not a graphics card '. In truth I have never understood what this thing is. Twas a long long time ago that I travelled to Swindon to pick up a quite rare Commodore 1581 3.5" floppy for the C64. The guy that I met there was also selling this OpalVision. It wasn't something I had ever researched or even knew about. I took a risk and parted with the cash. When I got home I read the blurb and am no wiser now, even after close to twenty years. The reason I was after a graphics card in the day was so I could free myself from Amiga monitors and use bigger screens. This card was not going to do that on the face of it so it went back into the box, where it's been sitting ever since. OpalVision review video here
