Doro Leva L20 - I flipped for an upgrade.
Not content with one new mobile phone I decided to take up the
suggestion by Tesco to upgrade the Nokia for a sexy Doro Leva L20.
I know the Tesco coverage is crap and I invested in the Galaxy A17
but this was only three quid for the upgrade and I get the phone
for free. And its a Star Trek flip phone .. Well beam me up.
Whilst I don't ever use the phone to make calls, the Nokia and now
the Doro are pretty good at receiving text alerts telling me when
my food is on the way, or for passcodes to use a site. The phone
is small, unobtrusive and its a sexy flip phone .. how cool is that.
Also I only have to use the two buttons, red or green and I don't
get bombarded with Google crap. All I had to do was stick my sim
card in and I was good to go. And I kept my old number which is er,
hmmm, 0 something .. doesn't matter, I never use it.
The phone has only managed 3G so far so all those warnings by Tesco
of 3G melt down were unfounded. I've already had my first alerts
on food delivery so all working as planned.
I keep the Nokia out also cus its got a very useful torch on the
top which is surprisingly powerful. I still use the BT Synergy for my
general calls, and if that fails I guess I could pull the old Vogue
and mend the cable. Seriously, I would do anything rather than fire
up that Galaxy A17. I mean with such sexy other kit about why would
I bother.
So I'm all 'mobiletastic', or not .. probably not.
Anyhoo that's my new kit for a while; a PS5; a HP Win11 i7 computer,
a Doro Leva L20; a pair of SONY headphones; and er what was that
other thing, oh yes the Galaxy thingy. All done and ready to fly. So
what's the first thing I do.. purchase half a dozen or so retro items
to feed my true passion ...... old computers. Whoo hoo. Been on the
A1200 making disks all day. Just the way I like to. Bonkers. So as
Bart Simpson once said ' Set your faces to stun ' cus much retro on
the way.
Going now. .......... 'Man, my teas gone cold again'.
