Entry 10th January 2026: Post 1: Nintendo Famicom Disk - The Disappeared Kieta Princess.
Nintendo Famicom Disk - The Disappeared Kieta Princess.
Been reflecting of late on items that I had always promised I
would add to the collection but never got round to it. One item
in particular is a Nintendo Famicom disk. I have the Disk System
but it didn't come with a disk. Time to put that right.
In true Japanese fashion I chose the most colorful of games boxes
filled to the brim with Nintendo game goodies. The game, listed
as The Disappeared Kieta Princess translates to 'Missing Princess'.
Dated Japan 1986 also refers to the princess as Arabian named
Kiara. The plot thickens. Enter Detective Monta Kobayashi, who has
just thirty days to rescue the princess.
The game is part of the Wavejack series and requires you at one
stage to use a microphone to instruct a character to move. The
Japanese were so inventive. Certainly a fun packed jolly little
game box. They never fail to amuse.
Anyhoo that was that. I can tick that little item off my list.
Interesting to note the date of this game as 1986. Just one year
after the launch of the Amiga 1000. Wonderful how well the contents
and box has survived. Imagine Amiga disks indented with the Amiga
name. How cool would that have been.
