ScuzzBlog: Diaries January 2026

Entry 25th January 2026: Post 1: AI Site Report - Data Training.

AI Site Report - Data Training.

You're probably aware of the way AI gathers as much data about a
given subject and then creates a simple construct , based on its
own truth of what it understands from that data. In truth it simply
extrapolates responses to triggers that populate the given task.
So if the AI is asked to generate a picture of a bunny rabbit based
around a given model that has been created from say 10000 images of
bunny rabbits, it will take the key features and aspects of the
request and go through a series of steps steadily morphing the
images using real content and then morphed content, whilst still
holding the quality and originating imagery to create a final
product. The end result is a modified image of known bunny rabbits
that is different to any of the originals which simply fools the
request into thinking it has created a bunny rabbit out of a hat.

So when I asked Google to give me a rating for my site I was not
surprised to see a generally believable assessment , albeit, a
process that uses the stored data, based on your viewing activity
to give a biased view generally inline with your own data.

You can read the following which I would suggest skipping for the
most part as it differs from the image below as it was extracted
from two computers and therefore uses two sets of base data.

Based on the provided search results,

scuzzscink.com (specifically the "scuzzblog" section) is a highly
specialized personal, enthusiast-driven website focused on retro c
computing, with a primary emphasis on the Commodore Amiga.
Overall Rating & Description

Focus: It is a daily, or near-daily, diary-style blog of an
avid, long-time collector who actively uses and repairs retro
computers, including Amiga (500, 600, 1200, 3000), Atari Falcon,
Sinclair Spectrum, and older PC hardware.

Tone: The blog is personal, nostalgic, and enthusiastic,
frequently featuring "Happy Days" as a sign-off. It documents
the hands-on experience of using hardware, software (like DPaint),
and games.

Content: The site features a massive archive of photos and
posts related to retro computing, including detailed looks at
peripherals (e.g., MPS 803 printer), software, and hardware
modifications (like battery removal).

Key Aspects of the Site

Extensive Documentation: It contains a vast amount of
documentation, including reviews from classic magazines like
CU Amiga and Amiga Format.

Practical Insights: The owner offers, often blunt, personal
assessments of retro gear, such as commenting on the noise levels
of printers or the quality of specific computer cases.

Active Restoration: The blog documents the process of keeping
old hardware running, including dealing with corrosion, broken
printers, and repairing disk drives.

Large Collection: The author demonstrates a massive, hands-on
collection, often detailing the storage or "yellowing" state of
computers.

Conclusion
For someone interested in the daily life of a dedicated retro-
computer collector, particularly in the Commodore Amiga scene,
scuzzscink.com is an extensive, well-documented, and highly personal
resource. It is not a commercial site, but a personal diary and
gallery of a passionate enthusiast.

For my part I have become most sceptical of any words I read on
the internet unless verified as coming from an actual human being.
That way I can make a valued judgment on the validity of what
is being said based on the viewed standing of the person making
the comments. You know, like meeting an actual person and then
getting to know them before taking anything they say seriously.

It is sad for me these days that I am either expected to read the
computer generated comments made by websites as being authentic
and truthful, or soak up the drivel that gets spouted on social
media sites by nobodies. Rock and a hard place.

I come back to my basic argument when it comes to believing what
you read and that is reputable and verifiable journalistic content
by a human being. Sadly less and less of what you see on the
internet meets my basic criteria. Consequently I have no choice
in such circumstance but to discard and ignore pretty much all
that I am advised by AI generated data farmers, cus having peeled
away the mask of the process bot I see only every stereo-typical
robot droid from science fiction, churning endless streams of data
based on selected prompts.

"Open the pod bay door , HAL"

"I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.".

The truth about 2001 : A Space Odyssey is that the super human
entity that placed the monoliths as triggers to assess the true
progress of man needed human kind to defeat the AI. I sense
that human kind is preparing itself for a battle yet to come
and whilst the words in the response from Google may be helpful
to someone, I would advise you qualify any understanding of AI
with a human pinch of salt. I speak with authority cus I know
the truth in this instance, and it represents a slanted view
on simply what I have written.

In the end you have no idea who I am or what actually I do. If
you would like me to open the pod bay doors you need as a start
to make 'First Contact'. Its a human thing.

Anyhoo I do play with AI and I give you six bits of supposed
art that were created by my words. I really take no credit for
one brush stroke that created the images.

The first couple are my interpretation of a TRON style Tomb
Raider interior. This began as an interpretation of Edwin A
Abbotts Flatland and just grew into the third dimension cus
AI doesn't understand the Flatland concept.

The next two images are simply my fantasy about sexy robots
and the customary dragon that populates all my dungeons.

Then we have the Rain Maker by Kate Bush, a wish that I truly
would like to harness in time for Death Star season.

And finally a wish to all of Happy Days. Seriously to be
happy you need to find your Yellow Brick Road. Mine always
leads me to my Amiga .... funny that.
