Entry 29th March 2020: Post 02: My storage problems.

My storage problems.

Ask anyone who collects old computers what their primary problem
is and I guarantee storage will feature very highly. It really is
not so much about the way you store, but more the retrieving of
items when you want to feature or use them. I am still amazed as
to how many computers I have lost in my stores somewhere.

The Commodore PC in the previous post sits somewhere in my large
store area for non-Amiga related kit. For the most part my primary
collection of Commodore is stationed in far more accessible stores
and the software and various smaller items are in stacked plastic
tubs and they are all numbered and archived.

Problem with the dross kit that makes up the collection is I have
pretty much had to stack it to get it all in. So when I have to
retrieve anything I have to take the store apart. I did have a
bench in the store in the form of large desks, but these are now
stations for Amigas and the like. When I tell you I struggle
finding any flat surface to put things down here, I am not kidding.
I really don't mind as I have so many things to play with every day
it never like ever gets dull and boring. I'm lucky I guess.

Anyhoo... it may look a little uncontrolled, but it actually is
very well organised. I do have a problem with archiving in this area
and so maybe this summer I will get round to logging everything
away so I can find it.

For now I have the keyboard that I featured and none of my photographs
throw any light on where the PC is. What I can say with some confidence
though is that I haven't thrown it away. I just don't ever throw
anything away..

My storage problems.
