After my issues with the first of my 3000s I decided it was time to have a look at the second A3000 in the collection. This machine came from Germany and was the first that I purchased in the early 2000s. At the time the battery was brand new and it was a few years before I removed it. At the time I checked for any damage and the green seen on chip legs and sockets is the same as it was then. I guess I could remove the Denise and clean thoroughly but I am minded in this instance to leave well alone. She performs very well. There are two hard drives and since losing the battery I just cancel the opening screen and she boots into 2.x WB. There is very little on the computer and she sits idle for the greater part. It would be nice to do more but I have no real use for this type of Amiga for what I do on a daily basis. She has been moved to a new slot upstairs and I plan on hooking her up to a Microvitec. The screen resolution is as it was when first arrived and that flickers somewhat on the 1084s. She is a dream to operate and I am satisfied at this time that I need to do no more to the computer motherboard. Hope I am right. Amiga 3000 - Checking in on the second of my 3000s.
