Fishy Disks 57 80 88 - Finding Aliens are Cool and MOOT.
This is one of those strange moments where I go in search of one
thing and then trip up over something else I had been looking for.
Happens.
A guy on Reddit had been discussing three Fred Fish disks he had
that he believed to be rare. The disks had been removed from the
Fred Fish library due to copyright issues. I wanted to verify this
and so went through a number of my Fred Fish disk collections plus
the CDs. Sure enough the disks were pulled by Fred. So I guess his
disks are collectable. Disks 57, 80 and 88.
Thing is whilst looking for the CDs I found a little bundle of CDs
which included the Andrew Burton Aliens are Cool CD of his A600
hard drive that I needed from my A600 blog last month. That saved
me a search. Also amongst the discs was the Q drive stuff and an
Aminet disc, which got me thinking why this lot was together. So
I checked the blog on the Q drive and discovered I used an Amiga
1200 called 'MOOT' to undertake the testing of the drive. Thing is
why was the Aliens are Cool disc in with this bunch of discs. So
nothing for it other than to find MOOT.
Interesting ....
You may think finding an A1200 would be easy. Trouble is I have
over 30 and the label is on the rear. So that is what I am doing
tomorrow. Or not depends on how well the Blizzard expansion
release goes. I need to be prepared.
Going now. By the way it is March. Time for some file management
which for me often goes very wrong as I have to create new front
blog pages and archive stuff. Bound to lose something. Fingers
crossed.
