A cubic constellation - Any colour you like.
One of the most important tracks to me from the Pink Floyd album
Dark Side of the Moon is Any Colour You Like. It best depicts the
meaning of the colours of light cast by the triangular prism on
the cover of the album. The music has a great sense of journey
into the next life. The concept is very much like the last part
of the 1968 film 2001 A Space Odyssey. The psychedelic swirling
light show and hypnotic music trips your mind to worlds held far
into the depths of space and time. There is a similar track on
Tubular Bells that slowly spirals in and out on itself causing
you to experience the same sense of journey to ends of space.
What this does is transcends your status as human to a more
ethereal mystical reality. Much like what happens to Dr Arroway
at the end of her journey in Contact as played by Jodie Foster.
The question of religion comes into play but for me it is a call
to a deeper inner self that is capable through the medium of
music, film and art of reaching out beyond our understanding of
material life and touching for a moment worlds beyond our senses.
So when I play around with AI Art I am able to take a fleeting
glance into mystical worlds and magical places. Say what you like
about AI and all the arguments about it being art, but without
it I would not have been able to render images from my simple
words. Sometimes I am better at describing something than actually
trying to visualise it through art. I love AI it has opened doors
for me that I could have only dreamed of.
And so if it were possible to not simply experience the hypnotic
music of Pink Floyd but also journey to those outer reaches of Any
Colour You Like just what would I see. Would AI create what I am
visualizing in my minds eye. Time to test out the theory. so I
considered not a triangle of light but a cubic prism, translucent,
crystal and reflective. In my minds eye I could see the endless
clusters of glass like cubes refracting and reflecting those bands
of light. So why the cube ? Why not ? It's my theory and it's my
AI that is what makes it fun.
And so to the prompt. The essential words of the AI generator.

Next up I have to find a suitable model and Lora, tweak all my settings.
Like magic after about 47 seconds my image arrived. Quite wonderful.

I generated just three images from my first pass and so
now I will modify the text to generate more of what I want
to see. And so yet another journey begins. Time to strap on
the Walkman, fire up the Floyd and escape once more.
