Azimuth Tape Head Alignment Kit.
A while back I featured a blog showing an attempted repair on a
Commodore C2N Datassette with a rogue wire. I had mixed success
but one issue was the tape alignment head. It became apparent
that what I needed was some kind of clever cassette that let me
align the head by turning the small screw through the hole in
the top case. There wasn't any about.
Enter the 'AZIMUTH TAPE HEAD ALIGNMENT KIT' complete with little
screwdriver and the game Joe Blade, no less.
I include the step by step guide on how the tape works which
explains the mystery of how to get a tape working when the C2N
can't read a tape. Fascinating. All clever stuff.
I actually don't have the Joe Blade game on the C64. I have it
on the Spectrum so that was an added bonus.
Next up I guess I'll attempt a repair. Onward.
