Amiga 1.3 - Creating WB disks - Testing.
Day 6 and time for testing the disk ...
Just to bore you yet again with the process to create an Amiga
disk for use on various Amigas. Deep breath ..
01: Copy ADF from the Windows7 computer to uSB stick.
02: Fire up an XP machine with USB and Windows 98 with Iomega ZIP drive.
03: Switch on the network hub.
04: Fire up Network Neighbourhood and locate Workgroup computers.
05: Copy the contents of the USB drive to the Amiga repository on the
Windows 98 machine.
06: Copy ADF files to 100MB ZIP disc.
07: Close down the PCs.
08: Plug in the power to the SurfSquirrel attached to the Amiga
1200 Escom machine.
09: Configure DOpus to see the MSDOS based ZIP disc. The drive
letter can fluctuate.
10: Copy contents of ZIP to Acumastore on the Amiga.
11: Copy ADF file to RAM.
12: Fire up ADFBlitzer and create a bootable floppy disk of my
EasyBench Workbench.
13: Test on the A1200.
14: Move operations to the box room and the A500 in there.
15: Boot into EasyBench and test.
All worked no problem. Sorry for the pics, but it's a real pig
setting up a tripod in front of these machines. Also to avoid
the scan line I have to use a special setting on the Lumix and
it seems to muck up the colours. Bit of a crap shoot. Anyway I'm
sure you get the idea.
I also include a link to the bench disks that I used last time
I undertook this exercise.
And that concludes fully the exercise.
