Entry 14th September 2025: Post : Walker Demo and Walker Game.
Walker Demo and Walker Game.
Yesterday I featured 'The Walker' computer and today I give you
'The Walker' demo versions I and II, plus 'Walker' the game or
what appeared in CU Amiga.
The Walker demo videos caused quite a stir in the day. Created by
Brian M Williams using DigiView, DPaint, FutureSound, AudioMaster,
and The Director it featured the famous Walker from StarWars. Very
clever videos and very popular.
Sadly the game 'Walker' , for me was pretty disappointing. I only
ever played the demo but for me that was enough. Created by DMA
and published by Psygnosis the game features a mini walker in a
scrolling shooter. Sadly the action is generally over in a blink
of an eye and the enemy are not that interesting. Dunno whether
it picks up later but I just got bored way too quickly. And trust
me what you see is all you get, the game isn't any deeper.
I have a feeling Comic Relief's SleepWalker was a little more fun.
That's my walking done for this week. I'm worn out now.
