Entry 15th September 2026: Post 1: Samsung SyncMaster - A great retro monitor.

Samsung SyncMaster - A great retro monitor.

I was mucking around with an A600 on the bench using a Samsung
SyncMaster T220HD monitor and decided to take a few pics of the
monitor to show off the connections you get on the back of one of
these. I currently have a T240HD hooked up to a Win11, Win10 and
XP machine as my main PCs. The array of connectors for differing
devices including an Amiga is staggering.

The aim of today's blog is to show just what one of these monitors
can connect to. The models I have are the T220HD, T240HD and the
P2770HD. The version you want to aim for have the old TV connector
making the monitor an actual TV. When you use one of these you
get DVI, PC, SCART, Composite, RF and two HDMI plus headphone
socket. This allows you not only to plug varying PCs and consoles
to the monitor but gives you multiple connections to a single
monitor.

For me the monitor is great on the bench cus there really isn't
anything I can't connect to it. The image is perfectly acceptable
on older retro machines like the Spectrum, C64, BBC and Amiga.
Most useful when bench testing and carrying out repairs.

Anyhoo I just wanted to record the rear and side connections for
future reference.
