ScuzzBlog: Diaries August 2026 Entry 27th August 2026: Post 1: TVPaint - Amiga drawing program. TVPaint - Amiga drawing program. First up let me say that I have never used this software. All of the Video Toaster software was gifted to me and I have never installed the toaster and so the software has been boxed up in a large plastic tub never used. So when someone asked about TVPaint I kinda knew where to look. The small plastic sleeve with the three disks and small guide had fallen to the back of a drawer unit and evaded my search the first time. I recovered the package and have copied it for safe keeping. So what is TVPaint ? Amazingly TVPaint is actually a real drawing program. You use the mouse as a drawing tool. You can also hook up a digitiser. If you thought you could use the software on an A500 I would think again. This little beauty requires a lot of accelerator power, memory and a CyberGFX compatible graphics card. The software is still subject to copyright and whilst I was happy to copy the Getting Started manual I was less inclined to release the three disks I have. What I have was released as a free download back in November 1999. It states I can make only one copy so that is what I did. Mainly I did this to ensure the disks were saved. The document shown here is not the manual. I assume that is a much larger beast. The disks also feel a little lightweight. The version is the 3.60 and was designed by Herve Adam. If you can get a written authorisation from the creator to release the disks I am happy to place them on the site. Whilst Wiki state the disks were part of a free download they failed to read the small print in the manual explaining the terms of the release. Anyhoo I wasn't able to play with the software, even though I have suitable card in my A4000 and A4000T. I just don't use those big boxes for general use. So to the person requesting the disks I suggest you go fish. Kinda a joky comment given the fish on the manual cover. Have fun. TVPaint - Amiga drawing program.
